Film Fill

The single most important component of a cooling tower is the fill. Fill is used to increase contact surface as well as contact time between air and water, to provide better heat transfer. The efficiency of the cooling tower depends on the current condition of the fill. Holes through the fill are signs of broken or missing nozzles, or cracked and separated lateral piping. Since most of the heat transfer occurs in the fill area, customers can thoroughly explore the different fill styles and types (we can provide unbiased, independent thermal ratings) in an effort to maximize their tower's efficiency, but how many do the same with their selection of the fill installation company?
